Dermalux LED Therapy
Clinically proven light therapy that energises skin cells, calms inflammation and accelerates healing, leaving your skin visibly brighter, clearer and stronger.
Dermalux LED Light Therapy is one of our most soothing and scientifically backed treatments, harnessing the power of light to calm inflammation, stimulate collagen, and restore skin radiance, all without discomfort or downtime.
LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to trigger natural cellular processes and promote skin healing, regeneration and rejuvenation.
It’s a type of phototherapy or photo-biomodulation treatment, meaning that light is used as a therapeutic tool to treat various skin concerns gently, painlessly and safely.
At Dr. Jenny Clinic, we use the Dermalux Flex MD, the world’s most powerful portable LED device.
It is FDA approved and CE medically certified, offering clinically proven results with no discomfort or downtime.
The Dermalux device emits low-level light energy at targeted wavelengths (blue, red and near-infrared), each of which has a unique effect on the skin:
- Blue Light: Kills acne-causing bacteria and calms blemish-prone skin
- Red Light: Boosts collagen production, improves texture and tone and accelerates healing
- Near-Infrared Light: Reduces inflammation and promotes deep tissue regeneration
The treatment is relaxing, painless and safe for all skin types with no downtime. Some people will report a very tolerable and very pleasant warmth due to increased circulation.
While single sessions can offer a quick glow, results are cumulative and courses deliver the best results.
You will undergo a full medical consultation before proceeding to determine the most suitable treatment regimen for you.
Your skin will be cleansed, protective goggles applied and you will relax under the light for 20-30 minutes.
We’ll play calming music while you rest under the light: it’s a lovely moment of pause in your day! (and a pleasant way to calm you and your skin after a pinchy skin treatment),
If your LED session is part of a post-treatment protocol, it will last 15-20 minutes and be offered complimentary.
Dermalux treatment options:
- Activation Programme: 12 sessions (2–3 times per week) to target deeper skin concerns with long-lasting results
- Boost Programme: A short course of 3 sessions or a one-off glow-up before a special event
- Combination Programme: LED used in combination with your injectable or collagen-induction treatments to enhance and accelerate results
Factors influencing the recommended treatment sessions include age, skin type, severity and nature of skin your condition, lifestyle factors and end goals.
As LED therapy is non-invasive and non-aggravating, if you are undergoing Dermalux treatment as a stand-alone therapy, then there are no restrictions or cautions post-treatment.
If you are receiving treatment as an add-on to another therapy (e.g injectables or Morpheus 8 etc) then the aftercare recommendations will be as per the primary treatment.
