Exosome Therapies
A regenerative skin treatment designed to support skin repair, hydration, radiance and post-treatment recovery.
Exosomes are tiny messengers involved in cell communication, repair and recovery. In aesthetic skin treatments, they are applied after procedures that create controlled microchannels in the skin, such as microneedling or radiofrequency microneedling, to support hydration, radiance, texture, tone and post-treatment recovery.
At Dr Jenny Clinic, we use Ameela Exosomes as part of a clinician-led regenerative skin treatment. They can be used to help improve overall skin quality, soften the appearance of fine lines, calm post-treatment redness and support skin repair. Our Exosome treatments may also be combined with injectable polynucleotides as part of a more comprehensive regenerative skin plan that targets skin health at multiple layers.
Ameela Exosomes are plant-derived exosomes from grapefruit and watermelon, combined with wild salmon polydeoxyribonucleotides, biomimetic growth factors, Ameela Collagen and Hexapeptide-8.
This multi-active formula is designed to support skin repair, hydration, barrier recovery, collagen production and post-treatment resilience.
Exosomes are tiny vesicles that help carry active ingredients into the skin’s cellular environment. In aesthetic treatments, they are particularly useful after procedures such as microneedling or radiofrequency microneedling, where controlled microchannels have been created in the skin. This allows the formula to be applied during the skin’s natural repair phase.
The wild salmon polydeoxyribonucleotides provide DNA fragments that support tissue repair pathways, fibroblast activity and hydration. Fibroblasts are important cells within the skin that help produce collagen and elastin, which contribute to firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality.
Ameela Exosomes also contain biomimetic growth factors, collagen-supporting ingredients and Hexapeptide-8. Together, these help support skin renewal, improve texture and tone, soften the appearance of fine lines and reduce post-treatment redness.
Exosomes can also be combined with injectable polynucleotides. This allows treatment to be tailored across different levels of the skin, using microneedling-based delivery for surface renewal and injectable polynucleotides for deeper dermal support.
You will undergo a full medical consultation before proceeding to determine the most suitable treatment regimen for you.
Topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area to ensure comfort during the procedure.
Exosomes are then applied topically to the skin both during and after your microneedling treatment or following your Morpheus 8 Radiofrequency Microneedling treatment.
More detailed information can be found on the specific treatment pages for Microneedling and Morpheus8.
A Dermalux LED treatment session is included at the end of your treatment.
Results are gradual and progressive, with noticeable improvements in skin texture and tone appearing over several weeks as collagen production increases.
Patients will typically report:
- Improved skin glow and hydration after 2+ sessions
- Reduction in scarring and fine lines after 3+ sessions
As with all regenerative treatments, results continue to build over 4-6 weeks post-treatment as the skin remodels and regenerates.
The post-treatment aftercare recommendations will ensure that your recovery is quick and treatment risks are minimised
- Mild redness may occur for 24-48 hours.
- Some individuals notice a mild peeling at 3-5 days
- Avoid exercise for 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid excessive heat for 24 hours after treatment
- Use a gentle cleanser and hydrating serum or moisturizer the day after treatment.
- Avoid active skincare ingredients (e.g. retinoids, exfoliating acids) for at least 5-7 days
- Apply a broad-spectrum SPF daily to protect the skin during the healing process: your skin barrier will be disrupted so there is a greater vulnerability to sunburn and hyperpigmentation or sub-optimal results
- Avoid applying makeup to the area until the skin has fully healed
You will receive tailored verbal and written aftercare advice during your consultation.
