Forma delivers controlled radiofrequency energy deep into the dermis, gently heating the tissue to activate the skin’s natural repair processes. The device continuously monitors and adjusts skin temperature to maintain optimal safety and effectiveness.
This thermal stimulation encourages collagen remodelling and tissue contraction, leading to:

Results are progressive and continue to improve for weeks after the treatment course is completed.
You will undergo a full medical consultation before proceeding to determine the most suitable treatment regimen for you.
A facial gel is applied to your skin (think of an ultrasound gel) to allow for gentle gliding of the probe against your skin.
Each session lasts 45-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Most patients describe the sensation as a warm, soothing massage or similar to a relaxing hot stone massage.
The skin feels warm and remains red for around 20-30 minutes, but there is no associated downtime and makeup and skin care can be used right away as the skin itself is intact.
While most patients undergo a 6-session weekly programme, results may be noticeable sooner and some individuals with milder concerns may need fewer sessions.
Although Forma treatments have no downtime, there are a few things we will advise you to do post-treatment, to ensure your results settle as well as possible.
- Avoid exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
- Avoid excessive heat for 24 hours after treatment.
- Make-up and skin care can be used right away as the skin isn’t breached.
- Mild redness occurs in the treated area which settles within a few hours.

Forma and radiofrequency tightening treatments in general, are contraindicated in the following circumstances:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Patients under 21 years of age
- Pacemaker or internal defibrillator or any electronic implant such as glucose monitor
- Permanent implant in the treated area (metal plates and screws, silicone implants or an injected chemical substance)
- Current or history of cancer, especially skin cancer, or pre-malignant moles
- Impaired immune system or use of immunosuppressive medications
- Severe concurrent conditions (cardiac disorders, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, liver or kidney diseases)
- A history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area
- Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema and rash as well as excessively/freshly tanned skin
- History of skin disorders such as keloid scarring, abnormal wound healing, as well as very dry and fragile skin
- Any medical condition that might impair skin healing
- Any surgical, invasive, ablative procedure in the treatment area in the last 3 months or before complete healing
- Superficial injection of biological fillers in the last 6 months, or Botox in the last 2 weeks
- Use of Isotretinoin (Accutane) within 6 months prior to treatment
